    About Austal Ltd

    Austal Ltd (ASX: ASB) is an Australian-based shipbuilder that specialises in the design, construction, and support of defence and commercial vessels globally.

    Austal’s products include naval vessels, defence surface warfare combatants, high-speed support vessels, patrol boats for law enforcement, offshore vessels, as well as passenger and vehicle ferries. The company also installs and maintains vessel command and control systems, communication and radar technology, and information management systems.

    Headquartered in Perth, Austal also has shipyards and servicing facilities in the United States, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

    Mr Gregg is a senior leader with project management, manufacturing and business experience acquired within the high-technology nuclear defence industry, rail industry and naval shipbuilding industry. Immediately prior to joining Austal, Paddy was working for Network Rail in the United Kingdom. During his time there he was responsible for infrastructure enhancements and renewals on the Western and Wales Route. Paddy has experience in the naval sector having worked for BAE Systems Submarines, based in Barrow-in-Furness. Paddy was the Head of Project for the second Astute Class hunter killer nuclear submarine build. In this role he worked closely with both the Ministry of Defence and Navy to ensure the project was delivered. As Chief Operating Officer at Austal, Paddy had responsibility for the shipbuilding and sustainment operations in Australia, China, Philippines and Vietnam. This responsibility covered both new build of commercial and naval vessels, and the sustainment stream of the business focussed support for Australian Border Force and Royal Australian Navy.
